Jinks is a siamease cat a blue point and he had a great personality. He was very friendly and very
proud as all siamease are. When he was a kitten he had terrible cat flue.It didn't stop him climbing
up the curtains in our living room, when you drew them closed you could see tiny holes. Jinks was
also a terrible thief or brillient theif. One day he came home with a live bantam chicken, we live
one and quarter street away from the canal and the very first house looking at the canal use to have
bantam chrickens.
Jinks was for a siamease small but he managed to get that chicken home and over a six foot fence.
Mum and a friend tried taking it off him but Jinks had other ideas. He jumped the six foot fence
into the next garden it took three gardens before someone was able to take it off him.
Another time he went into next door and the lady there use to put frozen chicken trout to defrost on
the window sill. Jinks thought she had put it out just for him and helped himself. That day he
brought us a rainbow trout dropped it by the micro wave for us to cook it, Jinks didn't like raw
fish.
Mum was cooking steak in the fraying pan, while it was cooking Jinks stole it and ran for the door
mum in hot persuit. We got the steak back.
Jinks loved hunting one year he found a nest of birds and from that time on he would catch and kill
every baby bird. Well! this one time they had, had enough, He came belting home with a rather large
flock of birds chaising and pecking at him.
These may sound like stories you watch in cartoons but they are all true stories that I and my mum
wanted to share. Jinks was a gentle soul he loved everyone and he was very much loved by everyone
who knew him. He was quite a character as you can see.
Thischristmas was very hard it wasn't the same without him, when meat was cooking he would sit and
wait in front of the oven for it to cook or a chance to steal it.
Jinks we all love you and we miss you very much. Bet you, Pepe and Knukkles are having fun, the
whole pack are together again.
IN MEMORY
Melody Collier
Little cat, in a distant sky
Where mice are friends and bluebirds fly
Where pain is forgotten and you can pass
With leaping grace over green, green grass;
Little cat, will you catch a star
And wonder, a moment, where you are?
Little cat, in a distant land
Where nothing can harm you as you stand
And gaze at the clouds, so pure, so white;
And all is glad with a fresh delight
Little cat, in your newborn years,
Will you spare a thought for my falling tears?
"Just A cat"
From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's
just a cat," or "that's a lot of money for just a
cat." They don't understand the distance traveled, the
time spent, or the costs involved for "just a
cat." Some of my proudest moments have come about
with "just a cat."
Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a
cat," but I did not once feel slighted. ………….
And in those days of darkness, the gentle touch
of "just a cat" gave me comfort and reason to overcome
the day. …………………………………………………
"Just a cat" brings
into my life the very essence of
friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a
cat" brings out the compassion and patience that make
me a better person. Because of "just a cat" I will
rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the
future.
So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a cat" but
an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the
future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure
joy of the moment. "Just a cat" brings out what's
good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself
and the worries of the day.
I hope that someday they will understand that it's
not "just a cat" but the thing that gives me humanity
and keeps me from being "just a man." So the next time
you hear the phrase "just a cat." just smile, because
they "just don't understand."

Symphony
There is no music so gentle,
No sound so sweet,
No praise so pleasant
As the praise, sound, and music
Of that simple word "Love".
The word itself is like a song,
It conjures images of all that is good.
On the lips it's like a soothing drink.
Let's dance, sing, and play
The symphony of love.
Jinks, allthough you have walked out through the door and gone into heaven's garden I know that you are still here with us. Watching over us like a guardian angel. You were and are our guardian angel even though you are just a cat. Even though you are in heaven's garden I know that you are still watching over us. We all miss you very much and always shall.

Look Not Were I Was
For I Am Not There
My Spirit Is Free
I Am Everywere
In The Air That You Breath
In The Sounds That You Hear
Dont Cry For Me Mum For I Am Near
I'll Watch For You
From The Other Side
I'll Be The One Running
New Friends By My Side
Smile At My Memory
Remember In You Heart
This Is'nt The End
It's A Brand New Start
To a very special little cat
You were always there for us
Always there to understand
always ready to take my side
always my strong support in time of trouble,
You always gave to me unconditional love,
A lifetime with you was far to short,
Your love a gift that could not be bought,
Your love is my treasure,
Your love beyond measure
You gave and not counted the cost,
Although you are a world away,
In our hearts you stay,
Parting shall never grieve even though you had to go,
Jinks we all miss you very much and in our hearts you will forever stay.
Although you were just a little cat
You are spirit, you are immortal, you are a radiant being.
Now be happy, be filled with joy and look forward into the light. Live and move in that golden eternal light, and know that nothing can hurt you.
Walk in peace. Be undisturbed.
Although we miss you Jinks you shall never be forgotten, your funny little ways and your gentle nature we all love and miss you Jinks.
God bless and keep you.
My Forever Friend
I know that it must be different,
now that I am no longer there.
I realize how much I was loved
and how all of you did care.
I know it will be hard at first
when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed
or beside my favorite tree.
Someday you will begin to see
although it'll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me,
the memories are yours and mine.
I'll remember you, my friends,
and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad,
it was just my time to leave.
The lights are blinking merrily
The tinsel’s on the tree
It sits there in the window
For all the world to see.
The house is filled with holly
And pinecone scents the air
The Christmas cards keep coming
Each one is hung with care.
The gifts are tied with ribbons red
And topped with pretty bows
I’m done with all the details
As far as Christmas goes.
The fire is softly glowing
I think about your touch
But Christmas isn’t Christmas
I miss you oh, so much.
If I could have just anything
My Christmas wish would be
To wake up in the morning
And find you here with me.
I reminisce our Christmas’ past
The joy and love we shared
Moonlit walks and midnight talks
And ways you showed you cared.
Staring at your picture
I long to be set free
Tonight the tears are streaming
As I hold it next to me.
Flakes of snow swirl through the air
I’m braced for stormy weather
I wait for brighter days ahead
When we can be together.
So hold a place in heaven dear
Someday when life is through
I’ll be the Christmas angel
Who shares this day with you.

Lend Me A Kitten ~
I will lend to you for a while
a kitten, God said.
For you to love while she lives,
and mourn when she's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
or maybe two or three
But will you, 'till I call her back,
take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you'll always have her memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below
I want this kitten to learn.
I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true,
And from the folk that crowds life's land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give her all your love,
nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take
my kitten home again?
And my heart replied,
"My Lord, Thy Will Be Done."
For all the joys this kitten brings,
the risk of grief I'll run.
I'll shelter her with tenderness,
I'll love her while I may
And for the happiness that I've known,
forever grateful stay.
But should you call her back
much sooner than I planned,
I'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
and try to understand.
If by my love I've managed
your wishes to achieve,
in memory of her sweet sweet love,
please help me while I grieve.
When my cherished kitten
departs this world of strife,
Please send yet another needing soul
for me to love all her life.
